General Objectives
On successful completion of this course you will be able to:
Visual Storytelling: Using design to complement written content and enhance journalistic stories.
Design Software: Mastering tools like Adobe Creative Suite for creating visuals that support articles and broadcasts.
Layout and Composition: Learning to organize text, images, and graphics for engaging news presentations.
Data Visualization: Presenting complex data in clear, visually appealing formats (charts, maps, infographics).
Multimedia Content: Integrating graphics, video, and interactive media into digital journalism.
Branding and Editorial Design: Maintaining consistent visual branding across platforms.
Mobile and Web Design: Designing content for digital and mobile news formats.
Ethical Visual Reporting: Understanding ethics in photojournalism and visual representation.
Hands-On Projects: Gaining real-world experience through design projects for news platforms.
Note
Application for admission should be made on the prescribed forms obtainable from the school. Completed application forms should be submitted together with two passport- sized photographs and a certified copy of student results slip and certificates within the prescribed period of time to the registrar.
